VINCENT GALVIN 1983-2008

I'm going to miss my dear friend Vinny so much. I've been missing him for months, but I will never see him again, now. I should've gotten together with him when i had the chance. I hate myself for that.

This was his last bit of work. He produced this Amazing Baby video. It's gorgeous:

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE'S BLOG

Is the best blog that you're probably not reading.

They're on a much deserved vacation and holy shit, their blog is hilarious. Here's a sample from Gerard Way's blog posting:

And even more interesting than the contestants, challenges, and the orange spray-tan club goers of Scottsdale, Arizona (of COURSE this is where the show is filmed) is Mystery's wardrobe.

This is a man that knows how to take RISKS.
Mind you, these aren't risks that I would ever take but you gotta respect a guy thats Ren-Faire from the neck down and fighter-pilot meets X-Games roadie from the neck up. With Gladiator boots.

And can we talk about how likable this guy is?
This is a man that eats his own cereal in the morning if you know what I'm saying.

Ah... the Pick-Up Artist is a show close to my heart.

LILY ALLEN'S NEW VIDEO FOR "THE FEAR"

The song is fantastic. The video is adorable and looks like it cost a bagillion dollars to make (how much do you think it costs to rent Versailles Palace?).

It's makes me think of this song called "The Fear" by Pulp:

I actually find myself singing the Pulp version far too often:
This is the sound of someone losing the plot -
making out that they're okay when they're not.
You're gonna like it, but not a lot & the chorus goes like this:
Oh Baby, here comes the fear again.
The end is near again.
If you ever get that chimp off your back.
If you ever find the thing that you lack
but you know you're only having a laugh
& here we go again.
Until the end

Yeah... but I can see myself singing this line from Lily's version to myself a few times in the future:
I don’t know what’s right and what’s real anymore
I don’t know how I’m meant to feel anymore
When we think it will all become clear
‘Cuz I’m being taken over by The Fear

I LOVE THIS BRITNEY SONG!

"Amnesia", which was a bonus track on the Japanese version of the Britney Spears album Circus, is so fucking good.

It's so fucking good.
It sounds like a Santogold song, straight up... but it's written by Fernando Garibay and Kasia Livingston, both of whom I've never heard of.

You gotta give it a listen. Fucking brilliant.

LIVING THINGS - "LET IT RAIN"

Eve from Living Things is finally on Twitter. He's still new to the service and so I think he'll be fully addicted in about 30 hours. Will his twitters be as good as mine? Only time will tell.

But Eve can write a better song than I ever will be able to (that is, at least, until someone asks me to write lyrics for Britney Spears' songs). Living Things' song "Let It Rain" is so good. I listen to it whenever it rains, which is often these days. Their next single is a ditty called "Oxygen" that is just so wtf good. I want to post the mp3 of it, but i'm scared that their management or label would show up in my office and shoot me. Gah-burp!

Anyway, download it. I snuck it on my blog. I wasn't supposed to but I don't think enough people read this for it to really matter.

Lastly, Courtney Love name dropped me in a blog yesterday! Hollur! I'm stoked. Ollie noticed it for me... I don't know if i would've been able to find it myself.

RUBY: THE 7 YEAR OLD FEMINIST

I've known my friend Marcel's daughter, Ruby, since she was about 2 years old. She used to come into the SPIN offices and sit at Sia Michel's desk and pretend to be the Editor In Chief of SPIN. I actually felt threatened that she'd take my job. Here's a video of her getting interviewed by Amy Poehler... incase you needed any more reasons to love Amy.
