SPIN READERS POLL

Hello. Rarely do I suggest SPIN stuff (church and state/shul and state/mosque and state etc)... but this might be fun.

oh shut up, you moron. you're trying to spin every single thing sarah says now, and that's just lame. that's obviously NOT the reason she wants people to vote in a readers poll. get over it.

Though it is impossible to discern whether or not Sarah is "fishing for votes," I don't agree with relevancy of Questions 13, 14, 15, 16 by a magazine that reports on "All the Music That Rocks."

They are more in line with the listis presented on E! Entertainment Television best of shows.

"hey, we're so funny. we steal shit from other people!"

really, i've never posted before. and, um, what am i to get over? since you have the answer, why does she want people to vote in the poll? because it may save the publication from bankruptcy or because polls are FUN! oh, i know--because the ballot box isn't stuffed in the Spin election! but i'm just a moron, so please inform.

Are you serious? Like, as IF Sarah even needs to get her BLOG in the magazine, she's already all over it! That is the silliest thing I've ever heard. I think stereogum will win. I'm excited!

I strongly disagree. Spin is like America, slick and mostly superficial, but part of it is enlightened (Chuck Klosterman) and part of it is stupid (dumbass comic at the back). For a mainstream magazine, it's surprisingly democratic considering the type of non chart-topping, non top 40, non MTV music that's been mentioned or profiled.

Recently they profiled The Comas, one of my favorite albums of the year is Conductor by them. If you have ears you will love at least one of their songs...the bonus dvd is simply breathtaking...basically one long abstract music video of the entire album starring that girl that played Jen on Dawson's Creek.

Etc. etc.

well, yeah. they'd have a lot harder time pandering to trendy faux-hipsters if they profiled ashlee simpson in each issue. I did enjoy "making out with ultragrrrl", but now that that's gone, the mag is officially 100% shit.
