- North Korea did not attack South Korea -- which is what many feared would happen as a result of SK's drills. Especially since NK threatened to do so.
- There was a bomb scare at Newark Airport this morning that turned out to be a computer monitor. As you might remember Al Quada promised there'd be attacks during the holiday.
- The European Central Bank has expressed "serious concerns" that a new law in Ireland could force the central bank to take losses on the collateral it accepts in exchange for loans to commercial banks. I have no idea what this means. I need to get better at understanding finance!!!
- Thanks to Julian Assange, Twitter is possibly going to have a future in UK courts.
- The top ten breakthroughs in physics in 2010. It was a big year!
- Iran executed 11 terrorists from the Jundallah group.
- An Egyptian business man was charged with trying to find spies for Israel. One group's terrorist is another group's alley.
- Europe has been slammed with more terrible weather. More delayed flights. More upset travelers. Hopefully someone will be live-Tweeting the fiasco like Lily Allen did.
- Hundreds of people in the Cote D'Ivoire have been reportedly abducted following a presidential election.
