8:30 - The Delays

I am only off by one day. I would die to see this show tonight. Franz Ferdinand is the greatest, and The Futureheads are awesome too. Oh well, I guess I will just sit home staring at my Franz poster, listening to their debut, wearing my cool gear while smoking a cigarette. Thats cool right? Right?? ....???

It's a shame this show was at the worst venue in NYC, a venue I refuse to ever see another show in for the rest of my life.

you know i wasnt that impressed last night. FF was good but I dont get the same feeling as I do when i see the strokes (ok i said it, I like the strokes)...Take me out was awesome as well as michael but theres something missing that I cant put my finger on. Or maybe its just me.

just curious, what is everyone's beef with roseland?

Personally I love Roseland. The thing about it is that its a big long rectangle and its really hard to see if you are at the back of the club and esp if you are short. For me I was on the right stage which has its own bar as well. If you are up there then you can see the sea of people below from the advatage point that the band has and it has a perfect view from the stage. the thing is you cant get up there unless your invited somehow.

to be honest, it sounded like a shitty show from the start

"to be honest, it sounded like a shitty show from the start."

And therein lies one of the major problems with Roseland. If you're not within 50 feet of the stage, expect a shitty sounding show. It's a circus tent like atmospehere. It sucks.

ok, so everyone knows how I felt about the futureheads... but i was also down in front, dancing around like a wine-filled asshole.

im curious to know what people further back thought... particularly those who were unfamiliar with the band beforehand.
