ANOTHER BLOG SPIN-OFF

My older brother Lawrence has started a blog. He's a cool dude even if he is technically a Republican. Motherfucker was making me deaf since I was a wee little girl by playing Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, and Bauhaus on our mom's shitty car stereo on full blast when he'd pick me up from Allison Mann's house.

Maybe someone will offer him a book deal in a couple months too.

"too"? is there something you're not telling us, Ultra?

Based on his Fster photos, he looks as HOT as you!

Have fun at the VMA's. I can't believe you've been going to them since '86. I still dream of the one day I nab a ticket/pass.

Alexis, my brother is single.

And I haven't been going to the VMAs since '86... only since 2001.

Ha!

'86 = '01 in my slang. I guess it's better said in person than on blog.

Like, "Hey! I haven't seen you since '89!" (Which could either mean last year or last week).

:)

Wait okay so I'm posting this anonymously because I'm too lazy to sign up...I'm also probably not posting this in the right place, because I'm too lazy to find the right place to click on the website. Arg...I have terrible lazyitus sometimes! Ultragrrrrrrrrrrrrl it's the Dirty Pixie. My website will be launched soon enough to join you crazy kids here in webland, but we must go out and party together because every time I see you I think to myself "she is so fucking adorable, I just wanna kick back a few whiskey shots with her and get into a fist fight with some bald dude."----find me!!! -DirtyPixieGirl

Sarah - I just heard a record that blew me away. This could be my favorite album of the year next to Franz.

The One and Only Typicals (The OAOTs), an LA based band very reminiscent of Husker-Du/The Replacements but with even catchier tunes (and slightly better production values). Simple songs that are simultaneously distortion drenched and gloriously melodic. Their bassist is also very make-out-able (is that a word?) Find a way to hear this album. They have a website: www.theoaots.com

What a pathetic, obvious plug...

Laurent said...

Yeah, dude. Cut out the plugs. If you want Sarah to listen to your band, just email her.

i think i speak for The Blogosphere when i demand that you recap your VMA experience for us! HUZZAH!

Sarah said...

the recap will happen in the november issue of spin. just a teaser: i met the olsen twins. i can't believe the world didn't end.

i also got kicked out of a spin party.

i also got lost going to the airport and missed my plane and am stuck in miami until wednesday since all the flights are booked due to the hurricaine Francis Ferdinand. i've got no money (save for $40) and this internet cafe computer wont let me check my work email.

Please, Jesus, tell me there are photos of you and the Olsons...

Sarah said...

i wish! they were sort of giving off a "please dont talk to us" vibe as i stood there drooling. perhaps they recognized me from the fabulous life of the olsen twins and knew to not make any sudden movements.
