RUN FOR COVER MOTHERFUCKER

So, what did you do friday night? Something fabulous, I'm sure. Me? Oh, funny you should ask. Let's see, I went to New Jersey to eat shabbat dinner with my family, kiss my doggy on her blind head, and sit infront of a computer screen trying to look for something to entertain me enough while watching FUSE. Thanks for asking.

I really enjoy going to NJ to pay my respects to the G to the O to the D. I think that tradition is totally lost in our/my generation. Whenever I tell people that I'm not going out on friday because I'm being a good jew, they look at me like i just said that Franz Ferdinand are hacks (they're not, by the way). But, with all due respect, I gotta say that lately my friends have been totally understanding and cool about my chosen arrangement (my homobro chooses to spend his in the hamptons or with his homofriends doing homostuff). I really enjoy it. It's kind of counter-culture, and being counter-culture is what being punk is about... so by default of being semi-traditional with my religious values, i'm punk. HEAR ME ROAR! roar.

Speaking of traditional values, the Franz Ferdinand album makes me wanna have casual sex in public. I just read in Blender magazine that Brad Pitt enjoys that album as well, so i hope he feels the same way as I do.

Say it loud and say it proud! I definitely agree that tradition is lost in our generation. Me, I'm home on a Friday nite, but not for Jewish reasons.
Shabbat Shalom!

tonight while i was sitting in tunnel traffic, two jerks on the radio were asking about good makeout music. i called and said franz ferdinand and they called me lame, so i said "how about goldfrapp?" and they said "who?" so i said "blonde redhead" and got dead air, same with mazzy star, so i tried duran duran and by that point they were laughing hysterically so i hung up.

ps if it wasn't for your heads up i would have never gotten killers tickets, so thank you oh so much, and as if that wasn't enough, today i also learned that (my first true love) graham coxon is opening for franz ferdinand when i am going to be in portland. graham coxon and franz ferdinand. graham coxon and franz ferdinand. i have been jumping up and down all day long. roar!

im confused.. if being punk means being jewish and going home to your parents house in jersey for shabbat once in a while...how do I be punk?

I'm catholic and already live in jersey with my parents. I need guidance!

I had a fantastic Friday night date with NAPOLEON DYNAMITE!!! (rockin' movie!) but your shabbat dinner sounds like a great way to spend Friday night- I can relate because Sundays are relaxing-brunch-church days for my crazy Catholic family. Have a great weekend!
Ciao!

I thought you'd given the game up. What happened? I don't know which I have more loathing for. Your initial reason quitting, or your lack of will.

And Franz Ferdinand are complete hacks. Why listen to some third generation Talking Heads rip-off when you can just go to the source? Get a clue... but first, buy some records that predate 2001. People attack you because you continually flaunt your cultural illiteracy while working for SPIN. You're dangerous... and in the "dumbing-down"/Ian Grey-theory kind of way.

In the meantime, all you hoes can visit my forum, at www.letthemeatlead.com

I'm not familiar with your religion. But is this correct? If you are good on Friday night, then it's okay to fuck, drink, smoke, and curse all other days? If so, that's a pretty cool deal! Let me know!

Thinking of converting,
Kristian
